Lake Kittamaqundi Gallery

| Back to the Gallery Section |

Lake Kittamaqundi, in Columbia, is a 27-acre man-made lake with a rough depth of 7 feet. Its name, was taken from the first recorded Native American settlement meaning “meeting place.” A boathouse with a wooden pier and a launching ramp is located along its western shore. Nomanizan Island, located in Lake Kittamaqundi, can be reached by boat and is a popular gathering spot for many summer festivals including the Fourth of July fireworks.

I managed to walk all the way around the lake and even met an interesting fellow wildlife feeder, with afew stories to tell of what can be found around the lake and how to get onto the other side which is a relative wildlife sanctuary. Great walk with loads of exercise posts and wee plaques on how to achieve your goals! For questions about Lake Kittamaqundi and the Lake Front Festivals, I'd love to suggest contacting the Columbia Association.
